Dragonball Z X-Treme
*------------------*
----Version 7.5-----

Programmed by: Chris Brotzman
		of ZELCH42 Productions

This game is based off DZX v1.0 By DBZNEMO for Windows
I got his permission to create this TI-83 remake of his game before even starting
the game way back in Winter of 1999. But sadly he and his site have dissappeared.
He used to be at: http://members.aol.com/DBZNEMO/

Version History:
----------------
Version 1-The first big program that I ever made way back in Winter of 1999. This
was the beginning product of DBZX. It used mostly Label's and Goto's. It
was slow, unoptimized, and devoured the RAM before the game even ended.
Also, at this point the only playable character was Goku.
Version 2-The second version of the game. By this point I learned how to use sub
programs, but I didn't know how to use them properly, so it still ate the
RAM before the game ended. It was a lot faster though. I was making progress
Version 3-I had finally succeeded in completely the first stages of the game. It did
not eat up the RAM and every aspect of the game worked, but you could still
	  only play as Goku.
Version 4-I added the rest of the playable characters into the game. This version was
	  still unoptimized and still slow.
Version 5-The final finished version of game. All playable characters completed. I
finished this about 5 months ago, but didn't feel it met up to par to be
	  released. So I waited.
Version 6-After a lot of time had passed, my skills at TI-BASIC had finally grown to a
point where I could fully optimize this little dinky game and release it to
the public. I was just about to release it when I realized it still sucked.
Version 7-The better version of version 6. It is a bit more optimized and a bit faster
in most areas. This is as pretty as I can get this program to look. I may one
day try to make it better again. We'll see.
Version 7.5-I'm an idiot. Just a few graph screen alterations so the beginning picture will display correctly. Forgive my idiocy.

Game Play
---------

In this game, you will fight five of the strongest enemies from Dragonball Z in an
RPG like text battle. You will take on each of them one at a time as one fo the Saiyans.
There are five playable characters to choose from.

Difficulty:
As it says in the introduction, you play as the saiyans of DBZ. There are
five to choose from. As you go down the list the game get progressively
more difficult.

     Son Goku----Very easy
     Son Gohan---Easy
     Vegeta------Normal
     Son Goten---Hard
     Trunks------Very hard

Controls:
ENTER-Use this to choose any option
2ND-This will quit the game at ANY TIME. Unless the program is paused
ALPHA-use this to quickly go back to the main menu. useful if you want to save time.

Playing:
The point of the game is to kill five of the strongest enemies of DBZ before
they kill you. From the main menu you have four general options:

Attack-Jab,Hook,Uppercut,Axe Kick, and Roundhouse
Very weak but you get three ki points back each time you use
one of these which is sort of useful.

Power Up-Gives you 15 Ki points back but enemy will recieve no damage.

Ki Moves-The game wouldn't be DBZ without 'em! Each individual character
has their own set of ki moves. Goku has four moves, the rest have
three each. Like most RPG's, you have some form of magic points with
which you use spells. Well, in this you have ki (pronounced kee, which
is a Japanese term which is sort of like energy or an inner strength type
deal), with which you use to shoot energy blasts. If you're low
on Ki you can't shoot a blast. It's as simple as that.

Items-Here you'll find some helpful items to use during battles. You can use
each only once per battle, you'll get them back if you defeat an enemy.
You start out with five items, but will get more as you progress through
      the levels.

Each items has a mark next to it that shows whether you've used it
already or not. If there is a '+', you can use the item, but if there
is a '-', then you have lready used it and have to wait until the next
      battle to use it again.

Some items you use to power up if your stats or getting a bit too low.
The rest of the items are used to hurt your enemy. I've gotten some
comments like "Why the hell does the item hurt the guy? These are
ki moves not items! Why did you do it like this?" Well, BECAUSE!!!
Besides, that's the way the windows program made by DBZNEMO did it.

Senze bean-restores hp when you're desperate
Ki Boost- Gives you a jolt of Ki points

Note: After a while you'll get the item Multi-Blast. This item never
does anything, it never will do anything. It will just retrun you to
main menu. It doesn't hurt, but it doesn't help either. Sorry. I might
      ake it do something later.
