The Extend92 EuP Driver (v1.50) By Bryan Rittmeyer Extend92 is the name of the TI-92 driver produced by the Extender uP project. Briefly, the Extender uP is a digital 4 Mbit harddrive for the TI series of calculators. It was designed with the TI-92 in mind; However, because it communicates in the TI low level protocol, drivers may be written for the TI-8X series of calculators. The Extender uP has been built by nearly 20 people so far, and has been working for over 4 months. This is the latest and most likely final version of the Extender uP driver. It has a number of fixes and enhancements over the older driver. I have more or less taken over development of the EII from Mel Tsai, who built the first working TI memory expander. However, I, like Mel, have a lot of other things to do that take precedence. It may be a while before I'm finished with design and testing. In the mean time, I wish to bring the EuP project to a close. I will no longer be enhancing the Extender uP. It works flawlessly already and I would like to put some of the things that didn't make it into the EuP into the EII. Mel Tsai is working on TI-85 drivers for the EuP -- any questions or comments about those drivers should go to him. I am only responsible for Extend92. You can contact Mel Tsai at tsaimelv@pilot.msu.edu or http://www.egr.msu.edu/~tsaimelv/expander.htm Thanks for your interest and make sure you check the website at http://www.flash.net/~bryanr/extend/ I posted the final version of the EuP schematic, with the regulator correction and addition of the busy and power LEDs. Looks like that's all folks. It's been a blast. Bryan Rittmeyer bryanr@flash.net 1/2/98
