These dictionary files are AppVars under NoteFolio. So you must have NoteFolio to open them.

The dictionary is divided into 8 volumes, their range defined in the last 2 letters of the name of the files.

These words are SAT words from many sources.

I recommend you to when finding the definition of a word, to go the appropriate volume and use Find.

P.S.- I have the same thing as a 83/84 NoteFolio AppVar here in ticalc.org. Unfortunately due to memory problems, regular 83+ will not be able to have the entire dictionary.
