/--\ /--\ / \/ \ | HEARTS | \ SCORE- / \ KEEPER / \ 89 / \ / \ / \/ Hearts Scorekeeper by Anson Jablinski (83+) and Kiran Nair (port to 89) This program keeps track of score in the card game of hearts (4 players.) Send HEARTS.89p to your MAIN folder of your 89 or 89 Titanium and run it. You will be prompted to type in the 4 player's names and your target score. The program checks for duplicate names. After typing in names and verifying them, you will see a table of a blank scorecard. The first 5 letters of the players' names will be at the top and the scores will be 0. NOTE: You can press Diamond + [OFF] to turn off the calculator (if you want to save battery for 5 minutes). After each round, press F1. Then type in the gains for each person (make sure alpha-lock is turned off). If the numbers are incorrect, the game will tell you to fix it. It also allows you to "Shoot the Moon", in which everyone but the shooter gains 26 points. The screen will then show the original scores, the gains, and the new scores underneath the corresponding player. Repeat this process. When someone breaks the specified target score, the game is over. The program will automatically detect the winner and can handle 2-way ties. It will show the table plus point the borders in the direction of the winner(s). Any other event will produce undesired results. Also, you can exit the program and save your game to do something else, and when you run the program again, you will be asked if you want to continue. Press ENTER to continue. To start a new game when the current game has not finished yet, press F2. If the current game is done, press F1. I'm not responsible for anything this program does to your calc, mainly because BASIC programs don't do much damage... Thanks for downloading Hearts Scorekeeper!
