MEANVTHM (LGM) v1.00 TI-89 "Mean Value Theorem (Rolle's Theorem)" by Dmitriy Myedvyedyev (aka Dima Medvedev, aka Dimalitious D-Myster) medvedbr@hotmail.com Category: BASIC/MATH/CALCULUS Starting - Completion Date: 03/23/2002 - 03/24/2002 ***THIS PROGRAM IS AVAILABLE WITH MANY OTHER USEFUL CALCULUS PROGRAMS IN A CALCPACK PACKAGE CALLED "CALC1LGM" (available by the beginning of April of 2002) Copyright 2002 Dmitriy Myedvyedyev -------------Description: This program asks you to enter a function and an interval from a to b. The program returns f'(c) and c calculated using the mean value theorem: (f(b) - f(a))/(b-a) = f'(c) To make life easier, f'(c) and c are shown on the screen twice -- the top output is in exact mode, the bottom one is approximate. -------------Instructions: Transfer the MEANVTHM.89P file to any directory on your calculator. When you run the program, you are asked to enter a function and an interval from a to b. Then just press ENTER (or ESC to exit) and you will be given the point c and the derivative at c in exact and approximate modes. -------------Update(s): None. This is the first version of the program. -------------Known Bugs and Important Notes: None (just make sure you enter a valid function with no '=') -------------Thanks!
