Spirograph TI-83+ by Drew Mast *******Contents******* 1.About this program 2.How to use it 3.Contact info ********************** 1.About this program **PLEASE DO NOT CHANGE 2 LINES OF THE PROGRAM AND CALL IT YOUR OWN. I WROTE THE PROGRAM, YOU DIDN'T** I first learned about polar graphing a couple weeks ago in my Calculus class (dont worry, you don't need to know calculus to use the program). As I messed with the equations, I learned how to make some really cool patterns similar to what a Spirograph would produce, hence the name. This program: -changes the modes to radian and polar when running, and changes it back to function when exited. -uses the polar variable R5 (which it deletes when exited) -uses picture slots 1-7 (only if you save a picture you have made. existing pictures will not be deleted or overwritten unless you save a picture to that slot. -is Mirage OS compatible -uses 1019 bytes of your calc's memory ********************** 2.How to use it -Installation: transfer SPIROGRF.8XP to your calc. -The program can be run with or without Mirage OS. -Once you have executed the program, 1. a) pick your equation A controls the amplitude (size) of the graph B controls the period (number of times the graph revolves around the pole) --or-- b) enter your own equation enter the equation IN QUOTES unless you like error messages. for example: to enter r=3sin(5X), you would enter "3sin(5X)" 2. when you are finished looking at your pattern/design, press enter 3. if you really like it, you can save the picture 4. to recall a saved picture, hit 2nd Draw, scroll over to STO and select RecallPic. enter the number of the picture you want to recall. For example, to recall pic4, enter RecallPic 4. Tip: try using both whole number and fractional values for B. ********************** 3.Contact info: Note: the program is protected.
