GUESS? Release 2 by Kiros Lionheart -- CONTENTS -- I. Installation II. How to Play III. Record Saving IV. Things you Might See in a Later Version V. Known Bugs VI. Version History -- I - Installation -- To install this program on your TI-83 Plus, just send guess.8xp to your calculator. The source code for this program can be found in the file guess_source.txt, as the program is protected. NOTE: This program won't work on a regular TI-83 because I use Archive and UnArchive commands. -- II - How to Play -- This game is pretty simple. All you have to do is guess a number between 1 and 10 (including 1 and 10) that the calculator chooses at random. When you guess the correct number, the program tells you how many tries it took. I made this during Algebra class because I was bored and had nothing better to do. While this game is highly simplistic, it might just keep you busy during a boring class where a game more complex would be more noticable because you'd be working harder at playing it. Also, this game is really small, so you might as well keep it on your calculator for a rainy day. -- III - Record Saving -- Your record is automatically saved every time you win a game (when you guess the correct number). Your record contains the following things: the number of games you've played and the total number of times it's taken you to guess the number. For example, out of *one* game, a score of 50 would be horrible. But out of *fifty* games, a score of 50 would be amazing. So I'll leave it up to your better judgment to what would qualify as a good score. If at any time you wish to clear your record, just select CLEAR RECORD from the main menu. When the confirmation message is displayed, enter 1 to continue. Type any other number to exit back harmlessly. When your record is cleared, the number of games and score will be set to 0. -- IV - Things you Might See in a Later Version -- -Two-player, two-calculator mode where one player chooses a number and the second has to guess it. -- V - Known Bugs -- None that I know of. -- VI - Version History -- Release 2 -Implemented record saving feature -No longer works on the regular TI-83 Release 1 -First public release on the TI-83 Plus -=-=-=-=- Questions?
