Installing|

Connect your calculator to the computer
with the Graph-Link Cable.  Right-click
on 'HEIROS' and choose 'Send To' > Con-
nected TI Device' > RAM.  Then open
Omnicalc on your calculator, and acti-
vate the font.

Description|
============
This font shows you the letters as
Egyptian heiroglyphs.  All of the 
letters are correct, except for:

	C- Substituted with 'KH'
	E- Substituted with 'EE'
	O- Substituted with 'AH'
	X- Substituted with 'KS'
	Y- Substituded with 'I'	

Spell out the names with their sounds.
For example: Greece (in reality there 
is an Egyptian name for this place, 
but it will be a good example)

Take out letters that have no sounds:

G-R-E-E-C-E -----> G-R-E-E-C

Where the last silent 'E' has been
omited.

Next, replace each letter with the 
letter it actually sounds like:

G-R-E-E-C -----> G-R-E-E-S

Where 'C' actually makes an 'S' 
sound, it is replaced with 'S'

Last, find the closest sounds of 
these letters and type them into 
the calculator:

G-R-E-E-S -----> G-R-E-S

Where the long, or double, 'EE'
sound is represented by the 'E'.

The numbers are all represented by 
lines, except for zero, which in 
this case actually represents the
number ten.

So, to write the number 15, type in
this:

0,5 (10+5=15)

The divide sign represents the 'Eye
of Horus', where parts of it were
used when writing fractions, each part
represented a certain fraction.  It was
commonly used in medicine, and it evolved
into our modern medicine symbol, 'Rx'. 

The following keys represent the following
heiroglyphs:

	( - Begin cartouche
	) - End cartouche
	, - Lower Egypt Bee
	. - Upper Egypt Papyrus
	/ - Eye of Horus
	* - Determinative: woman
	- - Determinative: god
	+ - Determinative: man
	: - Denotes pluarality 
	? - Determinative: city/town
  [theta] - God Re

For information on what all of that means,
you can search the internet; for there is
plenty of information out there on this.

*NOTE*
  Only UPPERCASE letters can be used. Low-
ercase letter will appears as regular let-
ters.
