MONOPOLY for TI-83 ------------------ April 18th 2000 By: Scatter scatter83@hotmail.com Needed: monopoly.83p zmonop.83p pic1.83i Well, this program is the most complicated one I have made yet. I didn't see any good monopoly games on the net for the TI-83 so I decided to make one. It's the perfect game for playing in class - you only have to hit a button every once in a while. I'd like to hear any feedback from people about the game, so e-mail me with comments or suggestions (scatter83@hotmail.com). Monopoly is made in BASIC so it has a few drawbacks - 1) it doesn't run too fast, 2) it is big, and 3) every once in a while you should save, quit (using ON), and restore your game to avoid a memory error (don't worry, I put in a message to tell the player when to do this). The game is fairly straightforward - just follow the menus and the game should make sense. You play against the computer - and you both can buy or sell property and buy or sell houses. I put in an option for saving and restoring so long games can be made possible. The only thing that I can imagine someone being confused by is the routine for selling property. The game will ask you to enter the number of the property you want to sell (GO is 1, BALTIC is 2, BOARDWALK is 40, etc.). You just input the property number and hit enter and it will be sold. Thanks for downloading my game - send it to lots of people. Scatter (scatter83@hotmail.com)
