GradePlus 3.6 by Nat Burns ===New in this Version=== *Multiple Classes added *More Prefrences added *More Install problems fixed ===File List=== Grade.8xp - program including lowercase letters. An uppercase version is coming soon. ===How to Use=== This is a program that is intended to be used to calculate a grade in a certain class. One simply enters the grades and a formula, and a letter and percentage is generated. Unless you delete the lists it creates, the data will be retained for future use. If you select System Restore, this lists will automatically be archived. I hope you find it useful. To (re)set the lists, select 1:Reset. To add or edit a grade, choose 2:Add/Edit entry. To add a grade, select 1:Add Entry. Enter your grade out of the total points, and select a homework/quiz/test bin number as well as a class number. To return to the menu, enter 0 as your bin number. For extra credit, enter 0 for "Out of". To edit/delete a grade, select 2:Edit Entry. The bin number you are viewing is displayed in the upper right hand corner of your screen, it's the top number. The lower number is the class number you are viewing To view the next bin, press right. Left takes you back to the previous bin or the menu. To view a different class, press Y= through the graph button. To edit an entry, press enter. To delete an entry press del. To return to the home screen, press 3:Back. For options involving your grades, choose 3:Manage Grade. To set your grading formula, select 1:Set Formula. The formula is shown in option 4. Several presets have been added, including a straight average, a weighted wizard and a custom option. If you pick 1:Weighted, it will prompt you for the weigths in percent of your bins. When entering a custom formula, X is your homework average, Y is your test/quiz average. NOTE: You WILL NOT have to multiply by one hundred to view your grade correctly -- THIS HAS BEEN FIXED. Do not use quotes when entering information. To return to the main screen without making changes enter 0. The formula is stored in Str0, so please don't edit it. Option 5:Back goes back to the Manage grade menu. Select 2:See Grade to see your grade in a class. You will be prompted for a class number. If you pick 3:Grade Solver, a wizard will guide you through the steps needed in finding out what you need to get on your next assignment in order to get a specified grade. 4:Back goes back to the main screen. If you select 4:Set Prefrences, use the up and down arrows to choose a prefrence and enter to toggle the choices. If Sys Restore is turned on, all information will be archived and all variables will be reset to their values before the program was run. (Even so, I am not responsible for any loss in information due to RAM resets, thoughtless actions or other such reasons.) If you select Include F's, the grading scale will include F's, instead of stopping at E's. I don't know if anyone will find this useful or not, because my school district does not use F's. I included 'Brownie Points' because I was bored; if on, then no matter what, it will always say your grade is 100%. Reset Lock will not let you reset your lists if it is on. (I accidentally reset my lists when I hit the wrong button.) If System Restore is on and you quit, a progress bar will be displayed showing its progress in restoring variables and archiving lists. If System Restore is off, the quit will be much quicker. Thanks for downloading GradePlus; I hope you find it as useful as I do.
