[TI-H] Re: Speaker

>From memory, Cullen began work on connecting a PS/2 keyboard
to the calc long before TI even hinted of releasing an external
keyboard (? I wonder ?). Anyway, I think this is a great idea and
maybe very useful if you used a 'portable' keyboard; such
as a stowaway or rollable keyboard. In fact, after reading of Cullen's
efforts I began work on a version which made use of the 89's silent
link capabilities (so that you wouldn't need any on-calc software);
but since I bought a PPC I haven't really done any more work on this.
I completed an 'expensive' prototype and had the intentions of
converting
my design to use a cheap PIC. You can see my progress on my site at
thetechplace.cjb.net
if you want the source for the BASIC Stamp e-mail me.

Good luck with your efforts,

Tim

OK just wondering. I had soldered one together and remember hearing that
the
speaker was purely inductive and not good for the link port, but I
haven't
had any troubles... BTW... has anyone read up on the TI-PS/2 Keyboard
connection by michael vincent and Cullen Logan. Tech docs are at
