My first message was this:

It came out fine.  It was your message that got screwed up.  Their list
server, Listar, for whatever brain dead reason, converts any
``Content-Transfer-Encoding'' header of type ``quoted-printable'' to
``8bit''.  As such, you should instruct your mailer not to use that
encoding.

(As a test, this message is sent using base64.)

As is obvious now, Listar screws up any ``Content-Transfer-Encoding''.  If
it was decoding it and then calling it ``8bit'', then that would be one
thing, but simply changing the header without changing the content is quite
another.  Proper mailing list managers should _not_ munge the headers of
messages.
