Ah, good point.  I would assume they would predate the actual production
TI86's (since those don't work until they've got the rom done), so even
if it were based on the 85 & 83 designs, it would have to have been
modified anyway.  They were probably quite similar to the production
model 86's in any case.

A while back someone on the Asm86 list was playing with different port
numbers and found one that caused the calc to crash.  Perhaps this is
left over from the flash capable 86's?  It'd be interesting to see what
someone could discover with a logic analyzer attached to various test
points.
