What happens if a bird flies through the laser beam ?
Birds can see the infra red region of the spectrum and will usually avoid
the beam. If a bird (or any other object) should pass through the beam, no
harm will be done. However, the data transmission will be momentarily
interrupted. Ethernet and Token ring will re-transmit the data as per
protocol.



now, of course, what happens when it rains?
