I'm busy with "News Radio" on TV.

On hard drives, it reports the strength in the magnetic strength and feild
direction.

On CDs, it sends a fast modulated signal for a pit and a slow signal for a
hole.
Its a HF signal from the laser detector.  The only way to sync with the
speed of the bits is to tell the DSP specific information about the servo
(how fast it spins...).

If you look near the ribbon cable you can find what remains of the old
ST-506 type interface, then on top of that is the technology found in ESDI,
then SCSI, and possibly after that, IDE.

Aparently watching TV, writing afew words and trying to continue minutes
after that doesn't work.  :)
