its not really necisarry to do speed and all but you could easily run it 
off the batteries maybe with a couple of voltage doublers and a toggle 
switch.

This may sound like an extremely stupid idea, but just hear me out....  I 
got my newest Mouser catalog today, and was flipping throught it, when I 
got the idea to have a calc controlled Fan.  Perfect for class when it's 
hot...  I know that you could just hook it up to some batteries, and use it 
like that, but if you were to run it through the calculator, then you could 
vary the fan speed, couldn't you?  Just use a computer chip fan or 
something small like that...
