Okay, your's is in worse shape than mine :)  Although, it took me 2 weeks to
get it to boot off of the recycled 2.1GB harddrive, you see, I could boot
off of a floppy and see the harddrive, but it was impossible to get the
harddrive to boot itself.  So I went to the manufacturer's home page on the
net, and found out it was still under warranty.  I emailed them, and they
told me it needed special software to work, and that the drive was in good
condition.  So I emailed back saying where is it?  They emailed it to me
(2MB), and it worked, end of story.  BTW, don't buy maxtor harddrives 8~()
