Did it have modem firmware?  I bet it was something like software...  BIOS
can do wonderful things...

Of course, since its a compaq, I can understand that...  :)  Their 1st
"portable" computer was called the "CompaqPortable" and came with an 8088
with 2 5 1/2 disk drives, or with a 8086 with 1 5 1/2 disk and a 11MB
winchester drive...  I have both of them..  :)  Btw, the lightest one is
43.7 pounds..  :(
