Just to let you know, if you plan to do something like this, you'd better
do it quick!  I'm working with helping someone who has already done DOS FAT
recognition and ATAPI routines on his MP3 player...  :)

and if you are thinking about just making a decoder solution, there has
been one available under the company Intermetal for a year or two.  Its
only $5 and takes a serial data stream, and pumps out 16 or 18bit DAC
stream.  Wire a dac to the thing and you've got it...  10 wires and thats
it.
