TI-H: Help with TI Sound

Hello. I am new to this list, but I've looked through some of the archives
for help, and found none. I looked through here to decide which calculator
to buy, and decided on the TI86, despite seeing somebody say that you could
not use ZShell programs on it or link it to a PC using a serial link. I am
very happy to say that both of these are false, and I have ASE on my calc
and a large collection of various programs I downloaded and tried out.

I heard about how sound could be used on the 8x series using a 2.5 to 3.5
adapter, so I went to `da shak and bought one. It worked with pj2 and a
random sound generator I downloaded, so I know it works. I was wondering
about the various WAV to ASM converters I've played with and not found
success.

Is there a certain way I should be compiling these programs to function on
the 86 as opposed to the 85, 83, or 82? I can get them to "run" or at least
show up and fail miserably. The real reason I'm looking to find out is
because of the novelty value of having a "talking calculator" in addition
to one that can play games. (As well as having superior speed and graphing
functions, I love the solver, and the ability to make simple basic
programs).

Also, while I'm writing on here, does anybody know of a program designed to
link to the 86? I downloaded a million, and the only one that worked was
"QLink85", with a slight Hex alteration so that all files work. It can't
receive variables that the 85 can't receive, but it can send them. Thank
you anyone who can help.
