Ummm... Auctually you can.  Just go to your local Radio Shack and they
should have somewhere a 3.5mm to 2.5mm connector.  You will have to take
something like a pair of scissors or a utility knife and carefully cut off
enough of the rubber so it will fit under the "lip" in the link port.
