Actualy, the TI-86 DOES use 18 connections, and not 17 like the other calcs.
It's screen is diferent than the others. (That also means it isn't compatible
with that TI-85 that the EL zaped, and remember, I don't think the main board
works on it either! 100 volts went into the battery connection, which leads to
ALL parts of the calc. That burned ribbon cable was the (+) terminal on the
battery, and a simple meter will prove that).
