Generally an A/B switch is used as an alternative to crawling under the
desk to physically unplug one cable and plug the other in. So an A/B
switch should be wired straight-through; in other words, pin 1 to 1, 2 to
2, 3 to 3, and so on for how ever many pins your switch has.
