Same here! I was buiding an IR detector to turn a flashing crossing signal on
and off on my model Railroad, but i NEVER got it to work!!! They show the
phototransistor with anode and cathode, but it says transistor, so I probably
burned it out! Of course, they have a third pin, but it is a dummy pin, so
it's not as simple as flipping it!
