I installed a new set of battries in my calc just now, and the problem I was having with the LCD fading when I turned on the backlight has vanished almost entirely. With the contrast set at 0.0, I can turn on the backlight and the contrast does not change at all. The pixels that are off are just slightly visible at this setting, and invisible with the backlight on. Its perfect :) DK
