Well, I wouldn’t go this far…there
are many possibilities that you could try. Do you have any electronic
experience? What you could do is open the calc up. Being very careful and
resoder the connector to the board(where the plug
goes) I have done this many times and it worked perfectly. Until one time when
it stopped working because the board was cracked from dropping the calc…lol.

i had the same problem with my
ti-83+.. way it seems it you have to get a new calc.. :(. .it sucks
