Card games like what?  Usually it's alphabetical, spades best and clubs
worst.  But I do not think that's what he was asking.
In euchre, the trump is the card which would be taken by the dealer, or if
it is not, then it's called by one of the players, the two jacks of the
color (red/black) being the two highest cards, i.e. if it's diamonds, then
it's JD, JH, AD, QD, KD, and 10D.
