Also in the 86 you can use DelVar(y1) etc...  This deletes the equasions,
now if you wanted to preserve them you could...

tempy1=y1
tempy2=y2

and on down the line then, delete the y1, y2 etc... var's using delvar.

when the program finishes to the reverse procedure, set y1, y2, etc from
tempy1 etc and delete the tempy1 values.
