I wrote a VERY nice table program a while back. The best
basic program I ever wrote. I solved the divide by zero
problem much more simply than you suggested. I just
added 1e-10 or something to x. I then rounded it off and
made the program return 0 for numbers less than a
specific value. It really is a cool program and has some
nice routines and some usefulness. If anyone wants it,
e-mail me. It's only 1k!
