Re: TIB: Re: Actually no-

Does his REALLY challenge the REAL ti-graphlink cable? It's serial, and can do a WHOLE lot more things(like a modem!) than the parallel cable. Even if he says that his are better 'Due to [his] highly adanced production methods,...yadda,yadda,yadda...'

Note to GIGGY: Don't try using this list to sell things, especially links that everyone could make using 2 diodes(~$0.10, at most) and a cable. And if people are too lazy, they just get the games and stuff from other kids in other classes at school. Someone has a link.

Besides, everyone basically gets all their parts for the same price. Either free (extra parts laying around), or Radio shack/mouser/other mail order places. They pretty much all cost the same. Mouser is cheapest of all on the cables, but you need to pay for shipping. Anyways, they will still cost less than $10.00, or even $15.
1 TI-to-TI cable.........(FREE, and you get 2 links!)
1 25pin plug.........$1.99 at Radio shack, chaper elsewhere.
1 cover.........$1.19 at RS, cheaper again elsewhere. EVEN METAL ONES ARE ONLY $1.99! very durable.
2 diodes.........$0.10 AT THE MOST!!! you could even get them for free off of a pc board.
total: under $5.00

No sweatshop prices. real ###s.

Disks: FREE!!! CompUSA or Comp. City...
Software: 15 min. d/l time on a slow 28.8 connection.
Help files: hmmm...TI-Hardware? Pretty good service here!

That's why the guy who designed it(forget the name...sorry!) called it a "$5.00 Link Cable"! Hmmm. Tells a lot about the cost! :)

Sorry, just had to say some things...I know I got a laugh off of the message! :)
