The TI-89 does have decent string operations.  My 86 didn't which was one of
the reasons I upgraded. :-)

Actually, converting any number to Roman numerals is easy.  Just stick
however many I's you need. :-)

Converting numbers to "optimal" Roman numerals (those using the fewest
digits possible) is a bit more complex, but still a fairly well documented
process.

What would be *really* cool would be an interface that let you *work* in
Roman numerals. :-)  (What's 'pi' in Roman numerals? :->)
