Re: Ti-89 problems

The 89 is much different than say an 86. Depending on the shell that you
use, you will have to install the kernel. This only needs to be done once.
Transfer the kernel to the calc (and the shell program also)

DoorsOS you type "doorsos()" without the quotation marks at the home
screen.
Plusshell you type "kernel()"

Now, you must run the shell proggie itself...
ON BOTH of them, you must be sure that you transfered the shell program
itself.....doors= doors()  and plusshell= shell()
ON doors, after the kernel is installed you can press "shift" (which is the
up arrow key) and "on" to get to the shell. Plushell users will have to
read the readme file in order to set a hotkey.

Lastly, don't overlook the importance of transferring the necessacary
libraries to the calc. Certain programs need certain libs to run.

Hope this helps, i know I was confused at first when i got my 89...but its a
great calc and i am impressed by it.

As far as posting a backup, it is really not necessacary if you install the
shells (which you will have to do anyway, even if you do upload a backup)
