AFAIK:
The TI-92 has 3 text sizes: large, medium, and small. the 89 has 2 text
sizes: medium and small. The pixels on the 92 are larger than on the 89 by
about 20%. This means that the smalles text on the 92 is 'between' the two
89 sizes. The medium text on the 92 is slightly larger than the 89 normal
text, and the large text on the 92 is noticeably larger. If you are truly
bothered by the text on the 89, then get a 92, but be forewarned: it is an
inferior calculator. The only way to get large text+good features is to
also buy a plus module for the 92 (making it a TI-92+), which costs an
additional $70.
