Yes, but 4MB to 5MB is for a full 5min track at CD quality.

A small looping bass track at a sampling rate to equal the "sound
quality" of the calculator is feasible today.  A bigger problem is the
CPU intensive decoding required, we would require P-II XEON
calculators!  But hey, memory is cheap, cpu getting faster....

Remember, it is PC gaming which is responsible for pushing the
threashold of technology, not business apps for which they are
supposed to be used for.
