Maybe this will help.
1) Repeat after me:
     EEPROM = Electrically ERASEABLE PROGRAMABLE Read Only Memory.
2) Refer back to my original message.  Consider the dilema, of needing
to have the computer operating to flash the bios, in order to get the
computer to boot.
