my calc ii prof once said that taylor series *are* used for calculating
that sort of thing (and e(x), etc).  but that's in a calculator, like an
83, etc.  but that still leaves out the 92.  because it's a COMPUTER and
returns exact results, I think that rules out taylor series.

how would you write a program in basic/pascal/c++ etc to return exact
results for trig?  only thing I can think of is to use unit circle, one
known side given, user inputs angle.  (assume radian for convenience).

there just doesn't seem to be enough information.  any ideas?  just
finding pencil/paper type algorithm would be MAJOR step!
