Re: Parallel 86 backup?

Sorry, I don't have an 86, and I thought that they couldn't send backups
calc-to-calc, so my previous post probably didn't make much sense. but...

<< and yeah i agree with the interrogate rom vers. thing.. the
backups(calc) should detect if the other calc's rom is the same, if not, it
can deny the backup.. that would be better than not having backups at all..
 (software side) >>

The only reason I was mistaken and thought that two calcs couldn't transfer
backups was that I read this part of your post. You sure made it sound like
they couldn't, only now I see that you were talking about sending a backup
from the computer.

if ppl weren't ready for "complicated" stuff, they wouldn't BUY a
graphing calculator
and i'd be happy for "it's easy enough to just send all variables from
one calc to another." yeah that's nice.. but! the ti86 CAN all ready send
backups from ONE CALC TO ANOTHER.. i meant.. sending a BACKUP from the
CACL to the COMPUTER.. that is the big problem!!! and this limit size of
65k for group files is STUPID.
