TI probably doesn't want to allow backing up, even between the same ROM
version, because people would think it would be weird for calcs to be able
to send/receive backups from some but not others. They would have to
explain to users in the documentation how some calcs have different
versions, and it would complicate things. It's easy enough to just send all
variables from one calc to another.

actually when it asks you to confirm for a backup, the memory has NOT
been killed yet, because if you pick NO, nothing will change and your old
stuff will still be there..

and yeah i agree with the interrogate rom vers. thing.. the backups(calc)
should detect if the other calc's rom is the same, if not, it can deny
the backup.. that would be better than not having backups at all..
