I am studing electrical engineering too, but i would not want to use the
hp48's. The hp48 and the ti85 are equally good for engineering, but the
hp48's are a lot harder to use. Most of my frineds which are also
studing engineering have a hp48, but almost all of them would rather
have a ti92 or a ti85 because they do not want to use that much time
learning how to use a calc (some of them have already bought a ti92).

If you have the time to get to know the hp48 buy one, but if you do not
buy a ti85. I find that the ti85 is faster than the hp48 for the stuff i
do, and it is easy to learn how to use it.

One of the hp48's adventages are the amount of programs and build in
formulas, but i have never seen any one use the formulas and most of
the programs you really do not need.

BTW some of you might disagree on the hp's speed etc, but do not send
flames to this list, if you feel that it is nessasary to reply send the
mail to me. (I have seen far too many hp vs ti flames on the list
already)
