Well....  I think its more the LCD screen... Actually, the processor probably
drives the LCD directly, or maybe a single driver chip does it (to save space
for I/O)  .. . I doubt the 92 uses many diodes, if not any.. .diodes just
have two leads, a positive and a negative.  They take voltages down .6 volts
to use for logic, and also only permit electricity to move in one direction,
the one that properly corresponds with the anodes and cathodes...


Maybe you meant IC's... but no manufacturer would make a IC LCD driver that
made the screen fade and have horizontal bars on it.. .so its probably the
screen...
