a tsr-like program is possible, i have used one under zshell4.0 that was a
game cheating program... i forget what the name of it was though :( but
you could hit on+enter in any program to activate it to search
memory/change memory... just like game wizard for the pc.
also, the program was available on ticalc.org possibly called game genie
or game wizard or something similar.
