Size of TI-92 screen

: The screen on the TI-85 is 128x64, the 81/82/83 have 96x64 screens. The 92
: is 240x128, the best of any TI calc. (pels WxH)

Here's an observation about the size of the TI-92 display; when drawing
bitmap letters and numerals, the most complex letter is S, or 5. You need
an area of at least 5x3 to draw either of these:

        ### ##
        # #
        ### ##
          # #
        ### ##

Everybody knows that the standard terminal screen, and also the standard
size of a PC monitor, is 80x25 characters. 240/3 is 80. 128/5 is 25.6.

It would seem that the TI-92 makers either happened up on a very useful-sized
display, or had the thought of us using it in 80x25 text mode in the back of
their minds.
