LF: About the TI-92 II - a brief description

A few people have asked what the TI-92 II is.

AFAIK, it's the same thing, but with the upgrade module already
plugged-in and some new cosmetic details on the front (TI-92 => TI-92 II,
diamond and 2nd keys a bit "dimmed").

You also have error messages and Geometry in several languages. The
rest is all english.

You get a small multilingual leaflet describing the changes - the manual
is the same (for the old TI-92). You also get an "ATTENTION" paper
that you're supposed to send, describing yourself by ticking boxes
(it's quite detailed), how you heard of the TI-92 etc.

There are no new commands, no built-in asm support. The calc is,
however, about 80% faster. This is based on the SpeedTest program
(TI-BASIC) so it might not be entirely accurate. I think this is because
the calc was designed to use 256Kb and the 128Kb version is a bit
crippled.

And the most relevant bit for this list: NO FARGO! You'll have to wait
until the next version comes out. Check the Fargo Archive.

PQF quote follows:

The Monks of Cool, whose tiny and exclusive monastery is hidden in a really
cool and laid-back valley in the lower Ramtops, have a passing-out test for a
novice. He is taken into a room full of all types of clothing and asked: Yo,
my son, which of these is the most stylish thing to wear? And the correct
answer is: Hey, whatever I select.
