I appreciate all the help with the ampersands, but my main point was that i
can't get the hardware hookup to work.
I have a goldstar 2400 baud modem w/25-pin female connection----->gender
changer-------->nullmodem adapter------>official graph-link.


When i type in fterm, the lights flash on the modem and i get a whole bunch
of extra characters than the one i typed, but nothing really happens.


Please help!!!!
