I think the best way would be to manually read it from the keyboard. There's a sample routine in
the TIGCC documentation (under the char *gets (char *string) function in stdio.h), and also one in
the FAQ (under the fourth question in the Input: Keyboard and link) that allows calling of the
char menu. There is a command that calls the basic command, but it's kinda hard to use.
