The reason why groups work in PC projects is because usually the people
working on it are in the room and have direct contact with their colleagues.
They have set hours in which they have to work on it.  And, people can tell
if you're working on it or not and set deadlines.  In our case, we have
limited contact, unsteady hours, etc.  So, a group project would be rather
inefficient but, it also can be fun.  It's a little slower than doing it
yourself but, I'd much rather have fun that rush things.  It also allows for
insight on what the other programmer might think is more/less inefficient.
It all depends on how you want to do it.  If you want it done quickly and
never see it agian, then do it by yourself.  If you want to take your time
and perfect it alongside other programmers, group would probably be best...
