A89: Re: Re: Assembly or Assembler?

yes. more specifically it's M68k-assembly because all chips have varying languages, and the m68k-assembler assembles object files into code readable by a m68k chip

The language is ASSEMBLY and the compiler is an ASSEMBLER

Hi everyone!

I have a not-so-important, but fundamental question. :-)  Is the language
called 'Assembly' or 'Assembler'?  If it is 'Assembler', which I have read
more often now, what is 'Assembly'?

Somebody please put some clarity into this.  Thanks.
