Oh, I'm sorry, I thought you were asking why TI was making all of those 
applications like the periodic table, organizer, etc.  I assume they are 
making them because their is more of a market for the 83+ apps than the 89 
apps.  I do however agree with you about the SDK (but since I own both an 83+ 
and 89 it doesn't really bother me because I have one to read while I wait 
for the other).
