Re: A89: Internet Link

What about making a two-part connection program that I described earlier on the A89 list. One
program would be run on the calc to interpret a datastream, and one program on the computer to
translate tcp/ip and ppp stuff. If the 89 could be hooked to a modem through the GL, and not use
the computer, and dial up an ISP through VT100 emulation or something just to connect, you could
then run the program on your ISP, and it would send something to the calc to take it out of VT100
mode and into it's own, simple mode. I don't know what this mode would be, but it would be
something that the calc could easily handle, and the program running on your ISP would really do all
of the work.
