A89: Calculator-specific Issues

I've noticed that almost all problems and bottlenecks associated with
programming ASM for the 89 have to do with calculator specific issues, such as
greyscale, memory, the screen, buttons, the linkport, etc. Because of this, I
am wondering if there is a place or places that has information about these
kinds of things on it. (If there's any ambitious tutorial writers, I'd urge at
least one of you to make a tutorial for ASM programmers that assume that they
know or can find out about all the opcodes, but haven't a clue about things
unique to the TI89). I still have yet to see anyone unlock the mystery of
greyscale. I've posted several questions, dropped many hints, and read source
to greyscale programs only to walk away confused. Perhaps someone can look
into making a reference for things specifically about programming ASM for the
89, or at least have the people writing the tutorials now realize that there
needs to be more emphasis on this information because it's very hard to find.
(Perhaps Matt Johnson can not insult a well-meaning newbie for once and tell
us how to do greyscale or display registers on the screen?) Anyway, this is
getting long, I'm getting tired, and I think my point has been made. Oh, did I
mention that some information on greyscale would be nice? :)
